This key role, which will interact with all levels throughout the organization and externally with partners and vendors, will report to the Director, Corporate Counsel & Compliance. Primary responsibilities include negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial, technology, and marketing agreements; advising on compliance and privacy matters; managing risk; and working with our businesses globally. There are no supervisory responsibilities. This position is fully remote and flexible hours are available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Including but not limited to:
  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts including marketing, athlete, and technology agreements.
  • Support departments across the organization including IT, HR, Marketing, Sports Marketing, Logistics and ECOM teams.
  • Manage and participate in projects including relating to compliance, company policies, information governance, sustainability, privacy, and litigation
  • Review advertising and marketing materials.
  • Experience working with teams cross-functionally and across time zones.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal business partners to mitigate risk yet be a trusted business advisor.
  • Participate in learning opportunities and stay informed on best practices and legal developments.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with a law firm or in-house required
  • Experience with negotiating and drafting technology and commercial contracts required
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school; strong academic credentials required
  • A member of the Massachusetts Bar preferred
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary
  • Strong skills in analytical thinking, specifically, the ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop substantiated conclusions.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with business units.
  • Ability to multitask with competing priorities - must be able to track and manage multiple projects to ensure nothing is missed, as well as ability to pivot and re-prioritize based on changing needs.
  • Attention to quality, detail and accuracy is critical, as well as pragmatic, problem-solving mentality and ability to follow through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under multiple time deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Takes independent actions and asks for and offers help when needed.
