Position Overview:
An American Multinational Software Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic product attorney who enjoys partnering with business colleagues to understand their objectives, ensure product readiness, and help solve problems for our customers. You will focus on creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement. You have experience distilling complex legal issues into actionable advice. You will provide a broad range of legal support to product and platform teams serving the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and partner with the business to enable An American Multinational Software Corporation's platform vision. You will also help support M&A and integration projects.

You will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Legal. This position will be hybrid and based in Boston or Denver.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate as a business partner to leaders and teams serving the AEC industry and build a trusted advisor relationship. Engage with team members at all levels, including product management, software engineers, marketing and business strategy
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements critical to our product teams, including those relating to cloud service offerings, inbound technology licensing, analytics and other vendor services, developer programs, open-source projects, and technology and strategic partnerships
  • Support product readiness and release by identifying and driving resolution of issues related to intellectual property, privacy, data security, confidentiality, machine learning/AI, marketing, competition, regionalization, and other legal and regulatory issues
  • Learn and advise on the legal implications of new technologies and business models
  • Support M&A activities for specified product areas, including due diligence reviews, advising on transaction structure, execution, and integration matters, with a focus on intellectual property and go-to-market issues

Minimum Qualifications:
  • You have a JD (Juris Doctorate) degree from an ABA accredited university and are in good standing as a member of the Bar
  • You have 5 or more years of experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses, either at a law firm or corporate legal department
  • You have experience and interest in intellectual property, privacy and technology transactions
  • You are a proficient negotiator
  • You are a collaborative team player who excels at finding solutions in a fast-paced work environment
