This role qualifies for a hybrid work arrangement located and open to candidates within commuting distance to our offices in Columbus, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, or Claysburg, PA. Hybrid work schedule consists of 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Overview:
Provides legal support to Store Development on a wide range of commerical real estate and construction legal issues and related

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
  • Draft, negotiate and review real estate related documents, including commercial leases, amendments and renewals, purchase agreements, estoppels, non-disturbance agreements and construction contracts
  • Draft, negotiate and review real estate financing documents
  • Provide guidance for interpreting lease agreements and resolving disputes
  • Oversee and coordinate real estate matters with the Director/Real Estate Counsel.
  • Work on a day-today basis with Real Estate Directors and Real Estate Site Selectors on the foregoing matters
  • Interact with senior management/store development/finance departments to address real estate matters within broader context of corporate planning and goals

Qualifications:
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education:
Juris Doctorate required

Experience:
Minimum 3 years with preferred background in commercial real estate law required

Licenses/Certifications:
License to practice law in at least one state in which An American Chain of Convenience Stores and Coffee Shops Company operates and ability to obtain PA Bar license in one year.
