This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator to handle sophisticated premises liability cases while working closely with seasoned attorneys. From day one, you will take on meaningful responsibility, gain direct client exposure, and build trial experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend premises liability and related insurance defense matters in New York state and federal courts.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and persuasive legal memoranda.
- Conduct and defend depositions; manage discovery effectively.
- Represent clients in conferences, hearings, and trials.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with the team.
- Maintain clear, professional, and proactive client communication.
Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York Bar (required).
- At least 3 years of tort defense experience, including premises liability matters.
- Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage cases independently from pleadings through trial preparation.
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication abilities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
