Responsibilities and practice:
Candidates should have 3-6 years of legal experience in structured finance, including experience with various aspects of residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS), such as securitizations, financings, repurchase agreements, opinion drafting, and drafting and negotiating related agreements and transaction documents.

The attorney hired for this position will join a dedicated, collaborative team and will have substantial client exposure and responsibility. Expected responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents for RMBS and other structured finance transactions, including securitizations, warehouse and term financings, and repurchase facilities
  • Preparing and reviewing legal opinions and transaction closing deliverables
  • Assisting with deal structuring and advising clients on legal and regulatory considerations affecting structured finance transactions
  • Communicating with clients and transaction counterparties
  • Working collaboratively to manage all aspects of our work
  • Supporting the practice as needed

Dentons' US Capital Markets practice has been at the forefront of securitization/structured finance for more than three decades. Our highly regarded team represents virtually every major banking and financial institution involved in the agency and trust aspects of securitization/structured finance.

Pursuant with New York law, the salary for this position will be $260,000 - $390,000. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
