Key Qualifications:
  • J.D./Admitted in local jurisdiction.
  • 5-7 years of transactional and licensing experience at a top law firm focused on representing life science companies.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have top law firm training with significant drafting and negotiating collaboration, licensing, supply, and other complex commercial agreements, including M&A, for life sciences companies.
  • Bring a strong track record of supporting and leading strategic and M&A transactions.
  • Be able to advise clients on highly individualized, sophisticated, mission-critical agreements and provide practical, business-minded solutions.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage delicate relationships and high-pressure, fast-paced negotiations effectively.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with and interest in the life sciences industry (particularly biotech and pharmaceutical companies) and the regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment, including with colleagues from other functional groups (e.g., M&A, corporate, antitrust, tax).
  • Have experience mentoring, supervising and training junior attorneys.
  • A biological science, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy and/or business background will be considered favorably.

The compensation range and benefits for this role are described below.

Salary range of $365,000 - $420,000, based on year classification.
