About the Team:
The Global Privacy & Regulatory Affairs team handles and oversees legal privacy and regulatory matters pertaining to A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company global operations. The team works cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders in the US and around the world to tackle some of the most complex, interesting, and cutting edge issues in privacy and security. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced, and bright legal professionals to join our exciting team.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively monitor, brief, and advise on global privacy laws and new legislative and regulatory developments impacting A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company global operations
  • Draft, review, and update employee privacy policies and procedures in accordance with applicable global laws and regulations
  • Analyze and lead privacy assessments related to projects impacting employee privacy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders, including HR, to ensure the effective implementation of privacy policies across the organization
  • Assist with internal audits and assessments to verify compliance with employee privacy policies
  • Assist with and lead various aspects of A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company ongoing privacy compliance efforts
  • Advise on matters involving vendor due diligence and negotiation of privacy-related clauses in contracts and agreements

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with membership in good standing in a US State Bar.
  • Minimum 5 years of legal privacy experience
  • Experience with writing playbooks, policies, and SOPs
  • In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, and reporting requirements such as Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs)
  • Experience advising on matters related to employee data privacy, including data collection, processing, and storage

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CIPP certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
