About the Team:
Our Global Legal team provides key support for all A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the team. The Global Employment Law team provides strategic and practical legal advice to Human Resources and business stakeholders globally, and handles employment litigation matters involving A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company in all the regions in which A Video-Sharing Social Networking Service Company operates. This role is for a senior level employment lawyer with expertise in managing employment law disputes and litigation matters and will report to our Head of Employment Litigation. The following describes the responsibilities and requirements for the role.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of employment disputes, including risk assessment and development of litigation defense strategies, effective management of external legal counsel, working cross-functionally to manage e-discovery issues, fact-finding and analysis, witness preparation, depositions, case management conferences, motion practice, and arbitration or trial preparation and presentation.
  • Work with investigative teams to ensure thorough, complete, and privileged investigations of employment-related matters, with a focus on advising on investigations and managing employment disputes and litigation matters.
  • Serve as a strong contributor on legal compliance matters relating to employment law issues.
  • Help to build and manage internal processes and policies to efficiently and effectively manage our growing litigation caseload.
  • Work cross-functionally to create, lead, or support training on global employment law issues, as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with membership in good standing in a US State Bar.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the substance and nuances of employment law and has substantial employment law experience in both private practice with a highly regarded firm and a corporate legal department, with a focus on advising on investigations and managing employment disputes and litigation matters. Experience taking matters through trial or binding arbitration a plus.
  • Experience handling employment litigation matters in multiple jurisdictions, through all stages of litigation, including trial, retaining and managing outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's legal representation are of the highest quality, and representing multi-national companies involved in complex disputes with outstanding outcomes.
  • Demonstrated judgment, personal integrity, and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work as a team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues from the Global Legal team and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including exceptional legal writing skills and the ability to craft persuasive and concise briefs.
