Position Overview:The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for overseeing their own cases, ensuring the effective management and strategic direction of their personal injury cases from inception through to resolution. This role requires an individual with significant experience in personal injury litigation, exceptional leadership abilities, and the strategic foresight to guide their teams' growth and success. The successful candidate will work closely with firm leadership to uphold the firm's commitment to excellence in client service and legal representation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies for personal injury cases.
- Oversee the preparation, filing, and management of complex personal injury claims and lawsuits.
- Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial motions, depositions, hearings, and trial.
- Analyze legal issues, provide strategic counsel, and ensure effective case management.
- Lead settlement negotiations, evaluating offers and working toward optimal outcomes for clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service and communication throughout the litigation process.
- Stay abreast of developments in personal injury law and case law, incorporating changes into the firm's practices.
- Carry own clients and caseload.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in California.
- 7+ years of experience in personal injury law litigation.
- 5+ years of substantial trial experience and a proven track record of managing complex cases.
- Demonstrated expertise in courtroom proceedings and trial advocacy.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven ability to lead and mentor legal teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
- Must be tech savvy and able to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic litigation plans.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
