Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through resolution, including negotiations and litigation when necessary including but not limited to:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Investigate claims by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, consulting medical experts, and analyzing accident reports.
- Negotiate settlements effectively to maximize client benefits while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences with energetic advocacy and thorough preparation.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience handling personal injury cases from start to finish with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law principles combined with familiarity in litigation processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and persuasive arguments.
- Experience in negotiation tactics that lead to favorable settlements for clients.
