We are seeking an experienced Litigation Associate interested in a flexible part-time or contract opportunity.This position is ideal for an attorney looking to maintain an active litigation practice while enjoying greater work-life balance. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with medical malpractice and complex civil litigation matters
- Drafting motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and appellate briefs
- Conducting legal research and providing strategic analysis
- Interviewing fact witnesses, treating providers, and retained experts
- Taking and defending depositions, as needed
- Appearing at court conferences, hearings, and mediations, as assigned
- Collaborating with partners and staff to advance litigation matters
- Providing litigation support on an ongoing or project-specific basis, depending on the engagement
Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 1+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
