What We're Looking For:An American Flooring Manufacturer Company is seeking a self-motivated and pragmatic Litigation Counsel to join our legal team, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel - Litigation. The successful candidate will be a team player, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. You will actively manage and oversee litigation, including primary responsibility for litigating employment matters in federal court and managing a portfolio of insured litigation.
What You'll Do:
- You will have responsibility for assigned litigation matters, including case strategy development and execution, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- You will represent the company in Georgia employment matters in federal court as well as smaller litigation matters, including inquiries, subpoenas, and other third-party requests for information.
- You will manage outside counsel for certain litigation matters, including providing strategic guidance, case management, and coordinating internally with business teams to gather relevant information.
- You will provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- You will maintain effective communication with insurance carriers and other third parties.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in Georgia and able to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
- 5+ years of experience in litigation at a law firm, government, or in-house.
- Employment litigation experience highly preferred.
- Federal clerkship preferred.
- Trial experience preferred.
