Job Description:
The successful candidate will work on a variety of legal matters relating to hedge fund, hybrid fund and fund of hedge fund investing and structuring. Primary job responsibilities will include:
  • Structuring, negotiation and formation of BXMA's commingled and customized funds and portfolio investments;
  • negotiation and execution of certain direct and indirect investments within BXMA's Absolute Return, Multi-Strategy and Total Portfolio investment strategies,
  • substantial interaction with BXMA internal business groups (investment, accounting, operations, investor relations) and external clients;
  • management of external counsel;
  • negotiation and review of various legal documentation;
  • and ongoing review of industry and regulatory developments to assess any relevant information or risks to BXMA's business.

Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree required.
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of four (4) full years of law firm and/or in-house private investment fund work experience.
  • The successful candidate should have strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interpret legal and business terms.
