Clark Hill is seeking an Associate to join our Immigration business unit in Pittsburgh, PA. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in employment-based immigration law and an active bar membership in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction). This is a full-time position with the ability to work remotely two days per week.

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
  • Experience advising employers on compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Labor (DOL), and Department of State (DOS) regulations across all employment-based US immigration matters.
  • Experience preparing for and supporting government immigration audits, site visits, investigations, and inquiries (e.g., FDNS, DOL audits).
  • Experience advising on visa risk implications of immigration strategies, workforce changes, reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience supporting employer Form I-9 compliance initiatives, including internal audits, remediation, training, and policy implementation.
  • Experience advising on work authorization verification issues, including risks and strategies in the mergers and acquisitions context.
  • Experience responding to government I-9 audits and investigations.
  • Experience monitoring changes in immigration laws, regulations, and enforcement trends.
  • Experience assessing and communicating the impact of regulatory developments on organizational risk.
  • Experience drafting and updating immigration related policies, guidance, and training materials.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to HR, Talent, Compliance, and business leaders on immigration compliance matters.
  • Experience providing training to HR and business teams on immigration compliance, audit readiness, and risk prevention.
  • Experience translating complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.

The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $100,000 - $115,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
