The Position:
A Full-Service Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Care Attorney with at least eight years of healthcare experience to join our legal team. As a Health Care Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in advising and guiding our clients through various legal matters within the health care industry.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law. Additionally, they will have transactional health care experience handling hospital, health system and/or physician practice acquisitions, physician contracts, joint ventures and affiliations.

Responsibilities:
  • Joint Venture and M&A expertise: Provide expert legal counsel on joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions involving healthcare entities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Anti-Kickback and Stark Law Compliance: Lead efforts to interpret, and apply anti-kickback and Stark Law regulations on behalf of clients.
  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents pertaining to healthcare transactions, partnerships, and services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changing healthcare laws and regulations to proactively identify compliance risks and provide guidance to clients.

Knowledge Base & Education:
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law
  • 8+ years of healthcare experience working for a law firm, healthcare system, hospital, or university with specific experience in transactional work, regulatory due diligence, and contracting.
  • Transactional healthcare experience handling hospital, health system or physician practice acquisitions, physician contracts, joint ventures, and affiliations.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
