Description:

Are you an accomplished family law attorney who is ready to lead, grow, and shape a practice—but does not want the financial risk, administrative burden, or constant operational demands of running a law firm? Weinstein Legal Team is expanding and seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to launch and lead our Family Law Department from our Fort Lauderdale office.

This is not a traditional associate position. It is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial attorney to take ownership of a practice area within an established firm, supported by existing operations, technology, marketing, intake systems, administrative resources, and a recognized brand. You will have meaningful autonomy to lead the department, establish procedures, help build your team, cultivate referral relationships, and guide long-term growth.

What You'll Do:
  • Launch, develop, and lead the firm's Family Law Department in Fort Lauderdale.
  • Independently manage matters involving divorce, paternity, time-sharing, child support, alimony, modifications, enforcement, and related family-law issues.
  • Handle hearings, mediations, depositions, negotiations, and trials.
  • Create efficient department procedures, workflows, and quality standards.
  • Participate in decisions concerning staffing, marketing, business development, and growth.
  • Mentor and supervise future attorneys, paralegals, and support professionals.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients, referral partners, and the South Florida legal community.

Who We're Looking for:
  • Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
  • At least five years of substantive Florida family-law experience.
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently from consultation through resolution.
  • Meaningful courtroom, litigation, mediation, and negotiation experience.
  • Strong leadership, client-management, and business-development skills.
  • Portable book of business or demonstrated ability to generate business strongly preferred.
  • Board certification welcomed but not required.

Compensation and Opportunity
$110,000–$140,000 annual base salary, commensurate with experience plus commision on originated and handled cases.

Additional performance-based earning opportunities for success on firm-generated matters.

Meaningful authority over case strategy and department development.

Established operational, administrative, technological, intake, and marketing support.

Input into future hiring and team development.

Long-term professional and financial growth potential.
