Location: Hybrid or Fully Remote (Based in Paramus, NJ)The Role:
We're looking for a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with at least 2 years of experience handling NY comp matters. If you're comfortable managing cases, arguing motions, deposing witnesses, and occasionally wrangling difficult judges, you'll fit right in. We're serious about great lawyering, strong systems, and smart growth—but we don't take ourselves too seriously. You'll collaborate daily with a supportive, team-driven crew that believes in sharing knowledge, wins, growth and the occasional meme in the group chat.
What You'll Do:
- Manage your own caseload of NY workers' comp defense files
- Represent employers and carriers in court (we like attorneys who can hold their own in a hearing room)
- Conduct depositions, draft pleadings, and push cases forward strategically
- Communicate with clients clearly and confidently
- Collaborate with teammates—Lone wolves need not apply
- Track time and deadlines like your license depends on it (because… it does)
What you bring:
- At least 2 years of NY workers' comp defense experience
- Active NY Bar license
- NJ Bar license is a plus
- Solid writing, litigation, and organization skills
- A healthy respect for deadlines, court rules, and humans
- Sense of humor appreciated—we work hard, but we're not robots
