Responsibilities and practice:A Worlds Largest Law Firm is seeking a M&A mid-level associate with excellent academic credentials and 4-6 years of legal experience to join our Venture Technology practice splitting their time 50/50 in our New York Meatpacking and Short Hills, New Jersey offices. The ideal candidate will have significant M&A experience. The person hired for this position will be integrated into a dynamic team.
Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York is $295,000 to $400,000, based on experience. This is a unique chance to join a close-knit group of lawyers who are passionate about building brand in the marketplace. The Global Venture Technology group is a unique boutique on the platform of a large, global law firm.

Position Requirements:
Personal skills/attributes:
- Has excellent judgement combining business and legal acumen
- Exhibits strong analytical skills
- Possesses excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Is good on one's feet with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Embraces teamwork and exhibits confidence
Technical skills:
- 4-6 years of legal experience is required
- Experience in public and private M&A transactions
- Experience drafting key legal documents for corporate, M&A and securities matters is required
- Cross-border experience is preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of applicable Federal Securities laws, rules and regulations is required
Other Requirements:
Should be licensed to practice law in either New York or New Jersey; both is a plus
