Job Description:Miles & Stockbridge, P.C., a mid-Atlantic based Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an experienced labor attorney with a minimum portable practice of $500,000, to join our Labor, Employment, Benefits, and Immigration Group. This position may be in any of our Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC offices.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act and equivalent state labor relations statutes, collective bargaining and the unionized workplace, with extensive experience advising clients on day-to-day labor issues, grievance processing, and labor arbitrations.
The candidate's experience should include 7+ years of traditional labor law experience, including client counseling on labor relations and law, research and writing projects, grievance arbitration, collective bargaining and union campaigns, and matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) or state public labor relations boards. Knowledge of clients within the healthcare industry and non-profit sector, government contracts, and corporate and M&A transactions would be preferred.
