Description:
Shulman Rogers, P.A., is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our Litigation Department in our Potomac, MD office. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of substantive commercial litigation experience, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage matters independently while collaboration with partners and other attorneys.Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of commercial and business litigation matters in state and federal courts.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis and develop effective case strategies.
- Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
Education and Experience:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- 3–7 years of substantive commercial or business litigation experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Maryland Bar license required; DC and/or Virginia is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court proceedings.
