We are currently seeking a licensed Supervising Attorney with preferably 2+ years of relevant experience in Mortgage Default, Real Estate, Title litigation and/or Foreclosure. Position is located in the Rochester Hills, Michigan office.

Manage your own caseload, which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Drafting complaints, dispositive motions, and settlement documents
  • Attending court hearings, including, but not limited to, motion hearings, pre-trial conferences, evidentiary hearings, and trials, throughout Michigan
  • Reviewing and responding to discovery requests, as well as propounding discovery and conducting depositions
  • Reviewing contested pleadings and drafting responses, replies, and/or motions
  • Investigating facts and legal issues to determine causes of action
  • Researching, analyzing, and interpreting sources of law such as statutes, rules and regulations, ordinances, case law, and other legal opinions
  • Ensuring deadlines are maintained
  • Entering and reviewing billable time
  • Complying with client requirements
  • This position will work directly with the Firm's clients in providing recommendations and determining strategies for proceeding
  • The caseload includes title litigation, contested foreclosures and evictions, nuisance abatement, collections, landlord-tenant, and other real estate related civil litigation

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Must be licensed in the State of Michigan and be an active and in good standing member of the State Bar of Michigan
  • Must be licensed in the Eastern District of Michigan with ability to gain licensure in Western District of Michigan
  • Minimum 2 years of litigation or foreclosure experience
