Join the An American Multinational Retail Corporation Health & Wellness Legal Team as a Senior Counsel supporting An American Multinational Retail Corporation Pharmacy business. In this critical role you'll advise business leaders on legal obligations and risks while serving as a strategic legal advisor on complex pharmacy legal matters for the world's largest retailer.

What you'll do...
  • Counsel on matters related to prescription drug distribution, pharmacy licensure, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure practical compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy board rules.
  • Advise on legislative and policy matters impacting the future of the pharmacy industry.
  • Advise on compliance programs and training for pharmacy operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to pharmacy services.
  • Provide legal support in contract disputes and negotiations.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of internal policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise on necessary policy updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, operations, and risk management, to provide integrated legal support.
  • Serve as a key legal resource for senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Advise the business team on complex matters with sometimes ambiguous and conflicting regulations.
  • Occasionally manage outside counsel and ensure budget discipline.

  • Subject matter expert in pharmacy law, pharmacy compliance, pharmacy technology, payor relationships and/or pharmaceutical supplier agreements or Board of Pharmacy interactions.
