About the Team:
A Consumer Electronics Company's legal team is seeking an experienced and motivated licensed attorney with experience in app and/or content licensing transactions to join our growing Platform+ Legal team. As Counsel, you will be reporting to A Consumer Electronics Company's Associate General Counsel and working closely with other attorneys supporting A Consumer Electronics Company's Platform+ business. You will embark on a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team within a fast-paced environment.

What you will do:
  • Review, draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, with a particular focus on app and content licensing, and will advise on a variety of deals with content providers, media/entertainment companies, and streaming services.
  • You will evaluate and advise on issues from legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and handle complex business and legal issues in a fast-paced, agile, and evolving technology-driven business environment.
  • Support strategic initiatives, including cutting-edge technology and regulatory support.

About You:
  • You have a passion or curiosity for digital media and technology.
  • 5-7+ years of transactional experience as an attorney either in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both.
  • Possess a Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California or qualify to register as California in-house counsel.
  • Direct experience in or exposure to AVOD/SVOD/TVOD licensing deals.
  • Able to handle multiple matters simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Solid background and experience with negotiating, drafting, and advising on a variety of agreements.
  • Self-motivated, extremely well organized with exceptional attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a can-do positive attitude to contribute to the success of the team.
  • Ability to work well in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment, as well as in a small team environment, and become a productive and positive member of the legal department.
