What Will You Do?
  • Advise Marketing, Brand, Insights, Consumer Engagement, and Digital teams across the full lifecycle of marketing initiatives, from concept through execution.
  • Review and counsel on advertising, packaging, product claims, promotions, sweepstakes, contests, influencer marketing, social media, e-commerce, consumer activations, and emerging marketing tools.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agency, sponsorship, influencer, licensing, talent, and other marketing-related agreements.
  • Partner with cross-functional legal and business teams on intellectual property, privacy, regulatory, compliance, litigation, communications, and reputational risk matters.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, develop practical guidance and training, and support strategic initiatives that enable responsible growth.
  • Model collaborative leadership within the Legal function while providing solutions that balance business objectives, brand stewardship, and risk management.

Minimum Education & Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department, with significant experience advising on advertising, marketing, promotions, and commercial transactions. Experience supporting consumer-facing businesses or consumer packaged goods companies is preferred. In-house experience supporting marketing and brand organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
