Summary of Role:
Senior Staff Attorney to oversee contracting practice of subcontracted legal support and lead negotiations for complex contracts. Primarily focused on suppler (goods and services) contracts in support of the global procurement organization. In addition, there will be tasks supporting other site related agreements including utility and real estate agreements as well as some government related matters. Finally, all GF attorney's support compliance and regulatory matters requiring legal review.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provides legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, and privileges of the organization.
  • Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager.
  • Provides legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of the organization.
  • Represents the organization to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies.
  • Provides resolution of business or technical issues by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action.
  • Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.

Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current Bar Admission in the US, preferably New York.
  • Experience - Minimum 2 years in field.
  • Skills : Contract drafting, negotiation, strong planning & organizational skills, very strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex matters for a broad business audience, fluency in Microsoft O365
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate solutions on complex issues and execute programs that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity, build teams across multiple functions to close deals for senior management.
  • Travel – Generally minimum travel
  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience – High Technology legal support experience
  • Ability to read or speak either German or Mandarin
