About the Job:Skilled Trial Attorneys is a rapidly growing civil defense firm with offices in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Detroit, New York, New Jersey, Tampa, and Fort Lauderdale. We have an immediate opening for a senior litigation associate attorney. Strong candidates will have five or more years of experience in insurance defense, be client centered, highly motivated, and energized by taking cases to trial. The Associate will provide legal representation to insurance companies in a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, property damage, and contract disputes. The Associate will work closely with partners and other attorneys in the firm to develop and execute legal strategies, conduct research, and prepare and present legal documents. The Associate Attorney will also be responsible for client relations and case management.
Responsibilities:
- Represent insurance companies in civil litigation matters, including personal injury, property damage, and contract disputes.
- Conduct research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Work with partners and other attorneys in the firm to develop and execute legal strategies.
- Manage matters from preparation through trial
- Maintain relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
- Manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Five (5) years of experience in insurance defense.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
