Description:
We seek a Senior Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience in commercial litigation, creditors' rights, and related practice areas. The role involves assisting in managing a high-volume docket of complex matters, including commercial foreclosures, workouts, secured transactions, debt enforcement, and business disputes. The position requires strong advocacy skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of commercial litigation and creditors' rights matters, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, trials, and appeals.
- Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
- Represent lenders, banks, and other creditors in commercial foreclosure, replevin, collection, and enforcement actions.
- Provide counsel to clients on risk management, compliance, and workout strategies.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff while collaborating closely with partners.
- Maintain high levels of responsiveness and client communication.
- Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to the firm's growth.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Connecticut; admission in New York or other states is a plus.
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial litigation, creditors' rights, or a closely related field.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Courtroom experience, including motion practice and trial work, preferred.
- Ability to manage a heavy caseload and prioritize deadlines effectively.
- A proactive, team oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
