Skadden's Real Estate team in the Chicago office is seeking outstanding lateral candidates (Class of 2025 - 2024) to work on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions including joint ventures, Real Estate M&A and PE transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, fund formation, and leasing. High level of academic achievement and experience in the Real Estate practice of a peer firm are preferred qualifications. Working with Skadden's global network of 50-plus practices, the Skadden Real Estate Group advises on transactions around the world involving the purchase, sale, co-investment, construction, financing, development, leasing, management, operation, and other investment in real property across the full spectrum of asset classes including office, multifamily, single-family, industrial, logistics, hospitality, data centers, and retail projects. Qualified candidates should be admitted to practice law in Illinois. The starting base salary for this position is expected to be between $225,000 to $235,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.Associates who join Skadden laterally participate in an enhanced mentor program, which specifically focuses on the unique needs experienced attorneys face during professional transitions.
