Clyde & Co is seeking an insurance coverage attorney with experience handling property coverage matters to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and possesses exceptional research and writing skills.Responsibilities:
- Analyze insurance policies and claim material, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients;
- Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients;
- Analyze documents for litigation;
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw;
- Prepare and respond to written discovery;
- Draft pleadings and briefs;
- Conduct and defend depositions; and
- Attend and advocate at hearings and mediations.
Education and Experience Required:
- Admitted to practice law; California bar admission strongly preferred.
- Insurance coverage experience.
- Excellent academic credentials and/or solid work history.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.
- Ability to handle time sensitive matters.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
