Responsibilities:
- Learn, understand, and execute the firm's personal injury case management process and procedures according to written and/or verbal instructions
- Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases, through the use of a variety of the case management programs and procedures
- Ensure the rights of the client as well as the professional integrity of the firm are preserved and maintained through professional expert representation in court or before government agencies
- Prepare legal documents and negotiate settlements on behalf of injured clients
- Arrange suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate
- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Oversee personal injury case files from beginning to end
- Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent time management skills, be organized, and able to effectively prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent client service
- Intermediate administrative and proficient computer skills are required
- Candidate must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia
- Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desired
- 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is needed
