Kerben Law Firm, P.C. (KLF) is a boutique immigration law firm seeking a reliable and flexible Per Diem Attorney to handle a steady volume of court appearances, filings, and local counsel matters throughout the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut), as well as Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.This is a great opportunity for an attorney looking for consistent, ongoing per diem work with a steady volume of assignments, rather than occasional one-off appearances.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice and in good standing in any U.S. state
- Eligible to practice before EOIR Immigration Courts
- Admission to multiple state bars is a plus
- Admission to U.S. District Courts and/or Federal Courts of Appeals preferred
- Dependable, responsive, professional, and comfortable handling matters independently
- Willing and able to travel for in-person appearances throughout the region
Assignments may include:
- Immigration Court appearances, including master calendar, bond and individual hearings
- Family Court matters
- Federal and state court appearances
- Serving as local counsel
- Electronic and in-person filings
- ICE and other immigration-related appearances
- Other court coverage and litigation support as needed
KLF expects to provide a steady and recurring volume of assignments and is looking to build an ongoing relationship with an attorney who wants dependable per diem work.
Compensation: Competitive per-appearance/per-assignment compensation based on location, travel, complexity and experience.
