Description:
Clyde & Co seeks an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney with 1-4 years of experience. This practice represents and advises national and international insurers in a broad range of coverage cases across the Unites States, including a wide range of complex insurance coverage matters, principally involving pollution, toxic tort, asbestos, construction defect, products liability, errors and omissions, and excess liability.This position is currently open to our New Jersey and New York offices.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting pleadings and briefs
- Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients
- Analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage recommendations for clients
- Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
- Drafting interrogatories and document demands
- Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation
- Attending depositions, hearings, and mediations as required
- Submitting filings to the court
Education and Experience:
- J.D./LLM
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, additional admissions a plus
- Insurance coverage and litigation experience
- Excellent academic credentials
- 1 year of clerkship preferred
