Seattle, WA. Hybrid: two in-office days per week. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities Include:

Prepare and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications in electrical engineering–related technologies, including semiconductor devices, chip architecture, and integrated circuits.
Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and landscape analyses to support client counseling and strategic IP decisions.
Collaborate closely with clients, inventors, and in-house teams to understand technical innovations and align patent strategy with business objectives.
Respond to office actions, manage ongoing prosecution matters, and maintain a well-organized docket.
Work closely with other attorneys, patent agents, and staff to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality work product, and consistent client service.
Support the development and protection of client IP portfolios through clear communication, sound judgment, and practical recommendations.

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong academic credentials
Admission to practice and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
USPTO registration required
Authorization to work in the U.S.

‍Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $240,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
