Overview:We are seeking a Patent Associate to join our Intellectual Property group. The ideal candidate will work from our Des Moines office with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment. We are open to considering candidates interested in working from our other office locations. Salary will be based on our Des Moines salary scale.
We offer broad based intellectual property opportunities, including substantial patent prosecution (including management of complex patent portfolios), client counseling, freedom to operate, litigation support, and IP due diligence, within a variety of technologies.
Our Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience
- A strong technical background and education in engineering or physics
- Prior experience in private practice or related in-house positions
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong academic background
- Registration to practice with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
- J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
- Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to promptly get admitted in the state of Iowa
