What does the job entail?
The Founder (James DeCristofaro) is the head attorney at The Lawyer James who has worked on high profile cases involving celebrity personalities like Justin Theroux, Christopher Lloyd, Mike Tyson, and Don King, and he has worked on cases involving household company names, including American Express, Berkshire Hathaway, Corcoran, United Airlines, Xerox, Citibank, and more.

Mission of The Lawyer James:
Our mission is to provide powerful, practical, and efficient legal advice; to teach young lawyers how to think and practice law; to dominate the NY legal market.
Core practice areas:
Federal and State Court business and other Litigation
Commercial and Residential Real Estate Transactions and Litigation (including Landlord Tenant)
Corporate Bankruptcy
Job Duties:
Legal tasks: preparing court filings and other legal documents, legal research, client development, client follow-up, proofreading, strategizing, client contact, filing court papers, making court appearances, over delivering + going the extra mile.
Non-legal tasks: customer service ("customer wowing"), having high energy, and having a coachable attitude, over delivering + going the extra mile.
Skills/Qualifications:
You must be a high-energy person.
You must be goal-oriented and must love hitting deadlines.
You must have a coachable attitude.
You must be an excellent communicator and send regular updates to the supervising attorneys, both through text messages and emails.
You must know how to use NYSCEF and ECF for federal cases; if you do not know, you will need to learn quickly.
Compensation:
You can earn up to $125,000 per year with much room for advancement and promotion. It is a project and task based compensation system + bonus structure.
