Job Description:The Century City office of Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a midlevel associate with 4 – 5 years of law firm experience to join its M&A and Private Equity Group, with a focus on supporting the Beauty and Wellness practice. The ideal candidate will have experience with M&A and private equity transactions, as well as advising early- and growth-stage companies on equity and debt financings. Experience advising clients in the beauty, personal care, wellness, and/or consumer products sectors is strongly preferred. The associate will support clients on a range of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, strategic investments, and financings, while working closely with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include managing due diligence and drafting and negotiating transaction documents for M&A and private equity transactions and equity financings, coordinating with internal legal specialists on regulatory, tax, employment, and IP matters, counseling on corporate governance matters and advising on joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other commercial transactions.
