As a Litigation Attorney at ALLG, you'll manage a dynamic caseload from complaint to pre-trial, with the opportunity to take your case to trial alongside our incredible trial team. You will have autonomy, mentorship and a real impact. You will be joining a tech-forward firm in growth mode, which means your contributions matter, your voice is heard, and your path forward is wide open. You will not be expected to build a book of business from scratch. We bring the cases; you bring the brilliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cases from the complaint to resolution including motions, depositions, mediations, settlements, and trial prep as needed
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and proceedings with confidence
- Take and defend depositions, draft and respond to discovery, and propound supplemental requests as needed
- Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision
- Conduct mediations and settlement negotiations and close them favorably for clients
- Execute legal research using Westlaw and translate findings into winning strategy
- Prepare trial documents as needed and second-chair trials
- Evaluate statute of limitations, audit case files for completeness, and manage your docket with autonomy
- Collaborate with and support fellow attorneys and your attorney team (a paralegal and legal assistant)
- Stay current on Lemon Law, consumer rights, and relevant regulatory developments
Qualifications (What You Bring)
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience (Lemon Law or consumer rights a major plus)
- Strong command of civil procedure, motion practice, and discovery processes
- Sharp legal writing and oral advocacy
- Tech-forward mindset; experience with Filevine is a plus, not a prerequisite
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and someone who takes real pride in their work
