McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C., (mvba) is seeking to hire an Associate Attorney to work in its litigation department, in our Round Rock, TX office. As an Associate Attorney you will be represent various governmental entities across the State of Texas. This position requires a blend of managing a litigation caseload and providing general counsel services to the Firm's clients when requested.

At the outset, the candidate will assist the managing attorneys with their current caseload. This will involve conducting legal research; drafting motions; drafting/responding to discovery; preparing for trial; and any other tasks requested by the managing attorneys. After a period of time, the candidate will transition into handling his or her own docket. This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers with litigation experience who are looking to continue to grow in their careers and be a part of a rapidly growing team.

The Firm:
mvba primarily specializes in the collection of delinquent property taxes for counties, cities, school districts, and other local governmental entities throughout the State of Texas. The Firm also has a litigation department, which represents and defends county appraisal districts throughout the State of Texas in property tax valuation lawsuits. This position will work with attorneys in its appraisal district litigation department.

The expected annualized salary for this position is $120,000 plus benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
