Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation cases, providing legal advice, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documents.
Responsibilities:
- Litigate civil cases in state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support legal proceedings
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods
- Represent clients during depositions, hearings, trials, and other court proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Litigation Attorney or similar role
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, rules, and regulations
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the CA State Bar Association
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law in a litigation setting
