The Opportunity:We are seeking a driven Litigation Attorney to join our flexible and primarily remote team. This is a unique opportunity to take significant ownership of your cases, make a real impact for clients who need it, and grow with a modern, tech-forward firm.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage a full caseload of litigation matters against insurance carriers.
- Develop and execute effective case strategies.
- Draft and argue compelling motions, oppositions, and replies.
- Represent clients in virtual and in-person court appearances, including conferences, motion arguments, and trials.
- Lead settlement negotiations and mediations to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of partners, associates, and support staff focused on our shared mission.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in good standing in the State of New York.
- 2+ years of litigation experience (either Plaintiff or Defense).
- Demonstrable experience drafting motion papers.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, PACER) and NYSCEF.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle complex matters proactively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience in New York No-Fault litigation.
- First-chair trial or arbitration (AAA or Forthright) experience.
- Background in personal injury or workers' compensation litigation.
