Our growing firm is looking for a driven, self-starting Contract Attorney to join our team. This opportunity is a contractor position with the intent to hire full time. You will be able to bill a minimum 30 hours per week and will have opportunities to be in the courtroom should you desire.

This is a remote position, but candidates must be local to the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area to occasionally attend critical local court appearances, mediations, or team strategy sessions as needed. Our office is in Southlake and we have paralegals and staff to prepare trial notebooks, binders and fully support you. You will have the option to come into the office with a space to work.

You will primarily focus on Civil Litigation, with secondary support needed in Probate matters. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running on discovery, motion practice, pleadings, and client communications with minimal friction.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a steady docket of civil litigation and probate cases under the guidance of senior attorneys.
Draft complex pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and probate filings.
Conduct legal research and analysis.
Collaborate daily with our dedicated paralegals to move cases forward efficiently.
Handle occasional court appearances, hearings, and depositions (primarily within the DFW metroplex).
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
