About the Job:Bertone Piccini LLP, a growing law firm located in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, is seeking a litigation associate, counsel, or partner-level attorney with a minimum of 5-7 years of civil litigation experience. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and be in good standing. Title dependent on book of business and years of experience.
We are seeking an attorney who is capable of independently managing an active caseload with little to no supervision. The successful candidate should be comfortable handling matters from inception through resolution while exercising sound judgment and keeping clients informed throughout the litigation process.
The ideal candidate should have substantial experience handling all aspects of civil litigation, including conducting discovery; interviewing clients and witnesses; drafting pleadings, discovery motions, and briefs; conducting and defending depositions; attending court appearances; and preparing matters for trial.
Candidates must possess excellent communication and writing skills, be proficient in legal research and writing, and have the ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize competing deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Portable business is not required but is considered a plus. Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
