Thompson Coburn is seeking an associate with 2-7 years of experience handling matters under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) to join its Chambers ranked Higher Education group in our Birmingham, AL office. The ideal candidate will assist with regulatory compliance and litigation involving telemarketing, text messaging, auto dialer, and consumer privacy issues. Successful candidates should have trial preparation experience, including file responsibility, motion practice, as well as exceptional advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, a track record of professional success, strong critical thinking skills, and a desire to work in a team environment.The Firm welcomes applicants who are self-starters, comfortable with client interaction and seeking career development and advancement opportunities.
