Position Description:
A Cincinnati Law Firm is seeking an Litigation Associate Attorney. This position will perform associate level general litigation work and will work on cases which include defending medical malpractice and employment-related claims as well as on commercial disputes. The position is based in our Louisville, Kentucky office.
Job Duties:
- Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
- Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.
- Prepare and argue motions.
- Perform legal research and writing.
- Participate in depositions.
- Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
- Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Independently manage cases.
- Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Respond to administrative charges.
- Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.
Qualification Requirements:
- 1-3 Years of relevant experience.
- Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Outstanding academic record and civil litigation experience, strongly preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky and/or Indiana.
