Description:
Candidate profile- Undergraduate degree and J.D. or equivalent law degree.
- Licensed to practice law in one or more US jurisidictions (Texas or New York preferred).
- Familiarity with power and natural gas trading activities
- Some familiarity with regulations and rules covering energy trading (including FERC and CFTC rules and regulations).
- Familiarity with the legal issues relating to physical commodity trading including commercial law.
- Experience in negotiating and documenting physical natural gas (NAESB), physical power (EEI) and financial (ISDA) transactions.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of complex energy trading transactions and related risk implications.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.

Activities
- Provide transactional support and legal advice to TGPNA's natural gas, NGL, LNG, dry bulk and power trading business in the US.
- Review, negotiate and draft bespoke and standardized natural gas, NGL and power trading agreements (such as ISDA, NAESB, EEI and GTCs) together with the contract management team.
- Work with external counsel to protect TGPNA's interests in rate cases and other regulatory mattters
- Prepare, negotiate and review structured transactions across all of TGPNA's products
- Assist with the legal aspects of major projects within TGPNA's business (such as reviewing project contracts and financing documentation) and managing external counsel on such projects.
- Advise on the TGPNA' contractual rights in relation to various midstream agreements including pipelines, processing facilities and storage facilities;
- Drafting and negotiating service agreements with Group affiliates
- Work with An Oil & Energy Company' litigation team to manage disputes with counterparties
- Ensure that provisions in TGPNA's agreements reflect the An Oil & Energy Company's HSE policies and Business Code of Conduct
