Description:

A Global Execution Platform has a great opportunity to work with the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), an independent legal agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and is seeking a Law Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with the ability to accommodate after-hours and weekend schedules.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizen
Must have earned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from a fully accredited school in the United States and currently in pursuit of a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Agricultural & Food Law.
Candidates must have 1-3 years of law firm experience with strong academic credentials and strong analytical writing and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability with regulatory compliance, agriculture, food, and environmental law matters including issues related to climate change, renewable energy, clean air, toxic tort claims, and contaminated sites.
Prior experience working and/or interning with the government or non-profit work, is preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
