Description:
A Full-Service Law Firm has an opening in the San Francisco, CA office for a Counsel in our Labor & Employment Department. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience.Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience in defending against single plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, reasonable accommodation.
- Experience with PAGA matters.
- Experience with class actions.
- Ability to work cases from start to finish, independently.
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
- Experience drafting and arguing motions including dispositive and discovery motions,
- Experience taking and defending deposition including taking plaintiffs deposition and defending deposition of corporate witnesses
- Experience in employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Smaller portable book would be ideal; but, not required.
