We are a prominent Law Firm seeking an associate attorney for its Employment Law department. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented team member with strong communication skills and a desire to grow their practice. Experience with Labor and Employment practice a must.

Successful Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Labor and Employment attorney with 7-10 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in employment litigation, including both federal and state court jurisdictions as well as before regulatory agencies including the EEOC, NYS DHR, and the NYCCHR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling employment-related litigation from discovery through trial including drafting discovery motions, motions to dismiss and summary judgment motions.
    • Handling and employer arbitrations cases before administrative tribunals such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and New York State Division of Human Rights.
    • Handling agency compliance actions including audits and inspections.
  • Researching and providing legal advice and guidance on employment law matters, including but not limited to hiring practices, employee relations, terminations, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues.
  • Handling agency compliance actions including audits and inspections.
  • Handling and employer arbitrations cases before administrative tribunals such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and New York State Division of Human Rights.
  • Handling employment-related litigation from discovery through trial including drafting discovery motions, motions to dismiss and summary judgment motions.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related agreements, policies, and
  • Collaborating with client's internal stakeholders, including HR, management, and other legal teams, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Staying informed about developments in employment law and advise on potential impacts to the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the relevant state bar association.
  • 7-10 years of experience practicing employment
  • State and federal court litigation
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including writing, proofreading, and outreach programming.
