Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking mid-level to senior Associates to work with the Finance and Restructuring team in our New York office. We are looking to add several team members with 5-8 years of experience working on complex debt workouts and out-of-court restructuring matters.We cultivate exceptional attorneys across all levels by providing them with the tools and experiences needed to build successful careers. The attorney will join a practice that provides advice to a broad range of clients, including from industry leading institutional investors, banks, asset managers and other private credit lenders. Our workout and restructuring team is part of our finance practice group, and our attorneys work across a continuum of distressed matters and also advise on structural risk in front end financings. This position provides a significant opportunity for a varied practice representing significant lending institutions across a number of asset classes and industries.
Out-of-Court Restructuring Associate Required Experience:
- Five to Eight years of relevant law firm experience.
- Skills and knowledge regarding senior, second lien and subordinated financing structures and knowledge of note purchase agreements, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, and relevant security and guaranty arrangements.
- Experience related to consent, amendment, and waiver transactions in connection with debt documents, out-of-court debt for equity transactions and workouts and restructurings generally.
- Familiarity with Chapter 11.
- Experience managing multiple matters simultaneously and working with cross-functional teams.

The Associate position requires in-office presence three days per week. The salary is commensurate with years of relevant experience & geographic location. The salary range for our Associate position is $365,000-435,000.
