About the role:
We are seeking an experienced remote (Arizona based preferably) Intake Attorney to serve as the first point of legal contact for individuals seeking representation after a serious injury or loss.

Our Intake team and process is like no other in the industry and this role is a critical part of our success. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney who is ready to step away from litigation, case management, and daily office demands, while continuing to apply sound legal judgment and make a meaningful impact.

You will meet with potential new clients by phone or in person, listen carefully to their experiences, and evaluate whether their matter is an appropriate fit for the firm. You will provide clarity, reassurance, and sound legal judgment during a moment that is often overwhelming for clients.

This position plays a critical role in setting the tone for the client relationship. You will help individuals understand their options, explain the firm's process and fee structure, and guide them confidently through the decision to retain counsel when appropriate. Some travel is required with the expectation to meet with potential new clients on short notice that may take place at their home, in a hospital, etc.

You will not be doing this alone. Our intake and legal support teams work collaboratively to ensure you can focus on high-level evaluation, client communication, and professional judgment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary legal contact for prospective new clients during the intake process
  • Conduct intake consultations by phone or in person with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Evaluate potential claims based on liability, damages, and overall case viability
  • Identify significant injury and high-value matters appropriate for firm representation
  • Clearly explain the legal process, client expectations, and fee structure
  • Answer client questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, building trust and confidence
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of intake decisions and case details within the firm's client management system
  • Collaborate with intake staff and leadership to ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience
  • Assist with additional intake-related or administrative tasks as needed to support firm and client outcomes
  • Some travel is required to meet potential clients around the Phoenix metro area

Core Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license in good standing
  • Extensive experience practicing law, with a strong preference for personal injury and trial experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly assess facts, issues, and client needs
  • Calm, professional demeanor when working with individuals experiencing stress or trauma
  • Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment
  • Comfort working in a structured, metrics-informed environment while prioritizing client experience

Experience That Sets You Apart
  • You reside in the Phoenix metro area
  • Significant experience evaluating personal injury matters, including catastrophic injury cases
  • Trial experience and a deep understanding of case value and risk assessment
  • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients quickly
  • Experience documenting case evaluations clearly and accurately
  • Comfort handling emotionally sensitive conversations with professionalism and care

Work Environment & Expectations
  • Full-time opportunities available
  • Primarily remote position with firm-provided equipment
  • Private, professional home office setup required
  • Occasional in-office attendance for meetings, training, or firm events
  • Periods of extended sitting and computer-based work
  • Ability to lift up to 25–40 pounds as needed for materials or equipment
  • Ability to travel on short notice to visit potential new clients in the Phoenix metro area
